Who’s With Me??

Should a woman grow old gracefully??

Now I’m not talking about botox or facelifts or even breast implants, I’m talking about dyeing a woman’s hair to cover the gray that has been sprouting from her head since she was 24!

So I guess I should be asking; Should a woman go GRAY gracefully, no matter her age??

I ask this because my husband thinks that I should “rock the gray”. Ugh… I could possibly see his point if I was 61. I mean I know that both genetics (which I do not have on my side) and stress (an instinctual side effect of being me) are causes off going gray. I also know that everyone will go gray eventually and it’s nothing to FREAK out about, it’s just science and the loss of melanin in our hair follicles bla bla bla.

However, at 31 I am still too young for this to be an issue, right? It’s not like I am 88 and claiming that I’ve never colored my hair, I fully admit my usage! In thirty years, you will most likely find me a stylishly silver older woman, but until then…

I will not be rocking any kind of gray, any time soon! Who’s with me??

AMEN, SISTER!!!!
I have SO much grey.  Right now I have a 1/2 an inch of regrowth and if I don’t need new glasses, I would say it is completely GREY.  No joke, no exaggeration.
So do I let it grow in?  HELL NO.  I am 33.  I do not want to rock the grey (beige-white to be exact) any time soon.
That being said, I do think grey mixed with dark hair like yours is pretty…..when you are 50!!!!  Hahahaha.  I will be dying until I die.  <———
(I just worked for 3 hours on a powerpoint for school…I am a little goofy right now.)

I want to say I think it is awesome that James wants you to rock the gray!!! He loves the natural you.  I think you need to do whatever you feel will make you feel beautiful, even if it is purple hair.  I think you are beautiful no matter what, even bald…..ooh now that is an idea and a problem solver

Thanks Kelly, that’s real sweet of you!

James has always been there for me, and for that I will never be able to repay him.

I have planned to do wild color high lights before I am too old to be doing such a thing. Purple is definitely a must!  =)

Buzzed probably ain’t my style but Sinead O’connor rocked it, so who knows… maybe!  =D

I’m with you! I have two pesky white/gray hairs that grow at an ungodly speed from the top of my head and I always pull them out. As soon as I get more then I can pull dye it will be. Judging from my mom, auntie Mik, and Maggi, I think I will be dying my hair next year.

Yeah it’s hereditary, suckie but it’s true.

Speaking of Mik, I thought her hair was awesome when she was letting the gray grow in, and then some doofus at a job she was interviewing at asked her her age!

So she went back to dying it. It’s sad how one person and one comment about our hair, can send us chicks into questioning ourselves.

Rock the hair color Cuz! I’ll back ya!  =) Thanks for commenting, I really appreciate you doing so, especially with your busy schedule.
